MOT

Here at Hockey Group Automotive we carry out MOT’s to make sure everything is running properly with our professional servicing. We are one of the biggest MOT centres in South Wales with the skills to MOT Bikes, cars, vans, campervans and 7.5 lorries.

We prioritise our customers and their satisfaction as we also offer a pick up and drop off service and offer the use of our courtesy car to our customers if they need.

If you fail an MOT test with us we will reduce the price.

What does the MOT test involve?

  • Body/vehicle structure and general items
  • Fuel system
  • Exhaust emissions and exhaust system
  • Seats and seat belts
  • Doors
  • Mirrors
  • Load security
  • Brakes
  • Tyres and wheels
  • Registration plates
  • Lights
  • Bonnet
  • Windscreen, wipers and washers
  • Horn
  • Steering and suspension

Once a vehicle is three years old, it must have a VOSA approved test commonly known as an MOT. This test must be done every year to check it meets the road safety and environmental standards.
An MOT certificate confirms that, at the time of the test, your car met the MINIMUM road safety and environmental standards.

By having an MOT, it doesn’t mean your vehicle will remain roadworthy for the following 12 months. You still need to make sure you maintain your vehicle regularly.
