Hockeys automotive is a family-run business that was originally established by Raymond and Sue Hockey over 30 years ago. It started as repairing tractors and trailers of local farmers from the family home garage. Gareth Hockey, the son of Raymond and Sue started helping in the workshop straight out of school and was welcomed into the family business.
Gareth then discovered his love for bikes and motocross and soon had the whole family travelling all over the country to support his passion for competing in off-road motorsport. Being the businessman he is Gareth turned his passion into a business and set up an off-road motorbike shop in Abergavenny town centre contributing to the family business. The shop was now meaning that the family could trade at the off-road events. In 1996 Gareth took over the business and saw the opportunity to expand and move the business to our current site, where we now trade as a multi-departmental company
